Double Entendre

Pingback: https://jennydhuynh.wordpress.com/2017/07/18/symbolic-u-i/

Roots deeply anchored beneath Mother Earth’s surface

Surrounded by Her soil so rich it

Nourishes and Gives Life,

I stand tall,

Firmly grounded

Soaking up Her sunshine

and

Drinking Her water.

She fills me with

Light

And

Water

And

Sunshine.

I am a pillar of strength,

Full of

Hope

And

Peace

And

Gratitude.

As the Dreaded Darkness of the Night creeps in to hold the sun hostage,

I feel my roots grow fragile.

Desperately, I dig deeper searching for Her water

That escapes my now

Dry and cracking roots.

The Dreaded Darkness has successfully kidnapped

Her Life Giving Forces:

There is No

Sunlight

There is No

Water.

Merely a dehydrated shadow,

I stand small,

Cracking and breaking,

My pieces now soil Her landscape.

I am a pillar no longer.
