“I’m done,” she said feeling as though a thousand burdens had been lifted from her mind, body, and spirit.

“What? No, you’re not. You’re crazy, you’re mad, you’ll get over it,” he countered paying no regard to his wife.

“Seriously, John. I haven’t been happy in a long time and I think we both know this.”

“So what, MaryAnne? That’s it? All of a sudden you’re unhappy and you’re done? Enough, please. Get a hold of yourself for Christs Sake.”

With that she stood up,

Confidently announcing,”this matter isn’t up for argument. I want a divorce.”

And she walked out and never looked back.
