Darkness Shattered

With The Heavens dictating their mood, I wasn’t surprised to wake to a
Threatening sky, covered by dark, stormy clouds.
No Sun nor light,
This morning The Heavens are angry and gloomy, stormy and dark.

The Heavens haven’t Forgotten
I, too, am
Angry
Gloomy
Stormy
Sad
and
Remembering.
Still, though, I must start my day.
And so I do.
Rising
Showering
Dressing
Carrying-On.

Inevitably, morning brings afternoon and with afternoon a shift occurs.
The Heavens are no longer
Threatening
Dark
or
Stormy.

Sunlight shatters through the darkness,
Despite our
Remembrance.

The Heavens Remember,
We Remember,
We praise and pray.

But we never relent.
For we are Americans
and
Forever Stand United.
